BUJINKAN SHIZEN DOJO - WELCOME
WHAT DO WE DO?
At the Bujinkan Shizen Dojo in Histon & Impington, Cambridge, we train in the Japanese martial art traditions of Dr Masaaki Hatsumi's Bujinkan Dojo. The techniques we study have been developed over more than 900 years ago, yet they are as effective as ever and applicable to daily situations. You will thoroughly study unarmed and armed techniques using a variety of weapons.
There is no competition in this art and everyone can train at their pace and intensity.
Classes are held at the Impington Sports Centre and first one is free (more details here)
Anyone over 18 years of age in reasonably good health is welcome to join.
Both beginners and advanced students are welcome.

HOW DO I START / WHAT IS TRAINING LIKE?
Come join us for a free first class to see if this is right for you. Plain clothes (T-Shirt and tracksuit) is fine; if you decide to continue training, you can purchase a keikogi (your instructor can give you information on this). Student insurance is included with your registration (unless you decide to opt-out and select your own provider).
You don't need prior martial arts experience or be particularly fit.
Training will vary from day to day, but generally follows this schedule:
- Stretching and warm-up exercises
- Breakfall / rolling / practicing safe falls & escapes
- Techniques of the day (unarmed and/or armed)
- Some form of cooldown at the end
